Day 1

:Dropped friends off at Changi T3. Bon voyage! Forget lunch... Han Ee is right... I do want to return to explore my new pad. Plus Jess say got puffs for me in the fridge. How thoughtful!

:Made a couple of calls to round up friends for dinner.

:Errands at Parkway. Marinated meats at Espirito Santo Butchery. 5% off with Citi credit card. Bought what turned out to be the sweetest organic corn from NTUC. (Learned from Google to soak corn in cold water before grilling. Makes it crunchy or something.)

:Rushed back to acquaint myself with the new environment. Read Wired and Economist. Felt intelligent. Napped on couch.

:Laid out table settings. Realized how much dust collected on white, unused plates. Puzzled at the mismatched wine glasses. Remembered to water plants.

:Guests arrive. They love the place. "High ceilings. Feels like hotel. Nice touches. Great patio."

:Meat is over cooked. I underestimated power of the grill. I mumbled that I needed to get to know the temperament of the grill. Friend calls my bluff that they are guinea pigs. LOL. They are right.

:Friend's 18 month old had tons of fun with Han Ee's golf balls. None were MIA or KIA. Figured out how to use thumb drive to show slide show of my friend's Scotland vacation pictures.

:Cracked a wine glass during wash up. Sorry guys! (Just a plain one, not the Queen's one.)

:Shower. Ohh... fancy shower gel. Estee Lauder. Nice. Felt pampered.
